Born and raised in Barbados to Nevisian parents, Nikeh is an Attorney-at-Law with over 15 years of experience in the legal industry.
She is the Founder of and a Partner at EMRJJ Attorneys-at-Law, a Barbados-based boutique law firm, advising domestic and international clients on various Corporate, Intellectual Property (IP), and Employment law matters. EMRJJ Attorneys-at-Law is one of the few specialist law firms on the Island operating in the field of intellectual property (IP) law.
Nikeh possesses extensive law firm and in-house experience. She commenced her legal career as an Associate Attorney-at-Law at one of Barbados’ illustrious law firms, where she managed a diverse portfolio of trademarks and conducted comprehensive legal research and analysis on various complex Employment law matters. She acted on behalf of the Respondent in the inaugural case before Barbados' Employment Rights Tribunal in ERT/2014/056 - Joel Leacock v PMM SERVICES LIMITED (Also Known As KPMG).
Nikeh later transitioned to In-House Counsel of a multinational company in the ready-to-drinks and spirits industry, where she managed and oversaw its IP portfolio comprising trademarks, copyright, patents and trade secrets spanning five continents. She also provided advice on risk management strategies for fresh brands and brand extensions, and directed the company's corporate governance activities.
Throughout Nikeh's career, she has cultivated strong professional relationships and a vast network of contacts across the Caribbean, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Continent of Africa.
Nikeh’s passions include education and inspiring young people to reach their fullest potential. In her spare time, Nikeh enjoys reading, listening to music, and the outdoors.
